About the project
Traffic Ops is an internal web application for a team monetizing traffic at scale. The system was designed to speed up daily operations, reduce cognitive load, and give employees quick access to all essential work information from a single, centralized workspace.
Problems
As the company grew rapidly, operational data - including daily and monthly reports, client information, and payroll data - became scattered across multiple tools and spreadsheets. This fragmentation made it increasingly difficult to track performance, manage teams, and maintain operational clarity. The business needed a centralized system that could unify key data, workflows, and processes.



Solutions
We designed a role-based application with two primary environments: one for buyers and one for managers, each tailored to their specific responsibilities. For buyers, the daily reporting process was simplified, personal performance statistics were introduced, and a clear view of salary dynamics and client-related information was provided in one place. For managers, monthly reporting and performance monitoring were streamlined, allowing insights at both individual and team levels. Payroll calculations and client management processes were also simplified. To support collaboration and alignment, a shared task management system with a Kanban board was implemented, helping structure communication and workflows across the entire team.
